From 1980 to 1989, the founder of ZanExec was president of Davies Associates. Davies Associates was one of the first search firms in the Washington, DC area, and was incorporated in 1964. Davies Associates was purchased in 1989 by ZanExec, and incorporated under the name ZanExec LLC. ZanExec moved the office from Bethesda, Maryland to Vienna, Virginia and continued an established history of placing line management executives for commercial employers and government contractors. ZanExec LLC has established a long-standing relationship throughout employment with Davies Associates and ZanExec LLC with many corporations on a local, regional and national level.
Ms. Zan Vourakis has been a guest lecturer for MBA students at George Mason University and the University of Virginia. She is also a Guest Speaker at almost every nationally recognized outplacement service in the Washington, DC area. Ms. Vourakis receives all of her searches through direct referrals and does not advertise for candidates or openings to fulfill her job placements.
